Why horses?

As prey animals, horses respond to stimulus with instantaneous and honest feedback solely for reasons of survival and safety. They can even hear our heartbeat and offer a window into the personality of the human. Horses will react through body language, and participants must adjust their feelings and behaviors to work successfully with the horse.
